IQUW

Project Journey
London-based insurance and reinsurance company IQUW sought a fresh, contemporary workspace in Bermuda that reflected the firm’s forward-thinking culture.
The company identified a 4,000-square-foot space in Chesney House, above Miles Market, but the interiors were dated and firmly rooted in the 1990s. IQUW engaged leading Bermuda architecture, design, and procurement firm Mollie Bigley Studio to undertake a complete refurbishment and transform the space.
The existing curved hallway presented the primary design challenge. Rather than allocating a significant portion of the renovation budget to altering it, the design approach focused on working with the existing condition.
The result was a modern, inspiring expression of Bermuda design architecture within a commercial setting. By fully embracing the curved hallway, it ultimately became the most distinctive and memorable feature of the project, earning the space an award from The Bermudian magazine.
