his year-long refurbishment in Bermuda reimagined a 5,800-square-foot single-family residential property set on just over half an acre. The clients selected a larger inland home over a smaller waterfront property in order to create a new home precisely tailored to their family’s needs through considered home design and thoughtful architecture.

Originally constructed in 2007, the house had undergone multiple prior renovations of varying quality. The project began with a comprehensive assessment led by the architect, reviewing the existing structure, systems, and building envelope, with a primary focus on identifying and correcting deficiencies. This is an essential first step in any successful residential build or major home build in Bermuda.

With this foundation established, the design shifted toward a complete transformation of both interior and exterior spaces. The home was reconfigured and refined through custom finishes, bespoke fixtures, and integrated millwork that aligned carefully with the house plans. The exterior was redesigned to establish a cohesive architectural language that reflects the level of detail and craftsmanship found within, unifying the residence as a whole.
